Rusty Wood lived across the street from me on Laurel Street in Whittier. He was the first person to be my friend in Whittier. He was really a sweet and kind person. He was my first older boyfriend. I went to school at Carmela Jr High and then Sierra High School. Graduated 1976. I am so sad to here he passed away. I would like to request that someone contact me at my email address and tell where to find his obituary or tell what happened to him. He had some problems, I know about he was my friend, Last time I saw him was 1978, he was working in the Car Wash just off Whittier Blvd and Telegraph RD.  I looked up to see him drying off the windshield of the car, I was sitting in. He smiled. He had not lost his smile and charm. He love Oldies but Goodies Music. Favorite song he sang was the Wanderer. He was a classy guy when I was his friend in the middle 70's.
